CPR/First Aid Certification

This course provides hands-on and online instruction in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic First Aid, focused on emergency response for adults, children, and infants.

Includes:
  • CPR for all ages
  • Use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
  • First aid for common injuries and medical emergencies
  • Certification valid for 2 years (HSI or American Heart Association recognized)

Article 9 Training

This mandatory course covers Arizona’s behavioral intervention regulations (Article 9), emphasizing the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Includes:
  • A requirement of the Arizona Administrative Code (including sanctions)
  • Specific to the Division of Developmental Disabilities
  • Teaching techniques that are allowed/prohibited
  • Rights of the people we support

Positive Behavior Support (PBS) Training

PBS training equips caregivers and staff with tools to understand, prevent, and respond to challenging behaviors in a respectful, safe, and person-centered way.

Includes:
  • Identifying the function of behavior
  • Creating supportive environments
  • De-escalation strategies
  • Reinforcement and redirection techniques
  • Supporting communication and choice-making
